We aim to provide you with the best apps and services to transfer files between your devices and to other people. Blip is an online app that may be used by many different individuals and organizations.
These terms govern your use of Blip. By using Blip, you’re agreeing to these terms, so please give them a read. If you don’t agree to these terms, please don’t use Blip.
Your account
- Account creation. To use Blip, you need to create an account. Please provide accurate and current information.
- Account security. You’re responsible for anything that happens under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
- Age requirement. You need to be at least 13 years old to use Blip. If you’re under 18, make sure you have permission from a parent or guardian.
Using Blip
- Allowed use. You can use Blip for personal and legal business needs. Make sure you always have the right to send whatever you’re sending.
- Prohibited use. Don’t spam. Don’t engage in illegal activity. Don’t send anything harmful or offensive.
- Privacy. Don’t disturb others on Blip or share their private information without their consent. Refer to our privacy policy for details on how we handle your personal data.
Your content
- Files you send on Blip. You retain complete ownership and are responsible for the files you send on Blip. Don’t send files to people you don’t trust.
- Communications with us. When you send us feedback, you grant us the right to use it without any obligation to you. We may use your feedback to improve and promote Blip.
We never collect data about the contents of your files automatically or without your permission. We’re adopting modern security protocols and encryption to protect your files and ensure no one can access them while they’re traveling through Blip.
Commercial license
You may use Blip for free for non-commercial purposes. This includes any kind of activities that do not generate commercial advantage or monetary gain for you, your team, your clients, your partners, or your business.
If you want to use Blip for commercial activities, you have to subscribe to the Business plan which includes a commercial license. Each commercial license is issued per user and can be used on all supported devices, as long as only the subscribed user accesses Blip. Commercial licenses cannot be transferred, shared, sold, rented, leased, or given to others.

Payments and refunds
Blip charges you at the start of each billing period. If you make changes during a billing period, we’ll adjust the charges, so you only pay for what you used. These adjustments will be applied at the start of your next billing period.
We offer full refunds on your purchases within 6 months of payment, and prorated refunds after 6 months. No questions asked! If you’re not happy with your donation or subscription, email us at [email protected], and we’ll take care of it.
Changes and updates
- App updates. We’re always improving and updating Blip. To find the latest updates, visit our website, sign up for our newsletter, or join our social media channels.
- Terms updates. We might update these terms from time to time. You can always find the latest version on this website.
Disclaimer, indemnity, and liability
- No guarantees. We work hard to keep Blip running smoothly, but we can’t guarantee it will always be perfect. Blip is provided “as is” without warranties. Use it at your own risk.
- Not liable. We aren’t responsible for any damages or losses that result from using Blip. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us.
- External links Blip may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for their content.
- Indemnity. You agree to protect us from any claims arising from your use of Blip.
Termination
- By you. You can stop using Blip anytime. If you want to delete your account, just follow the steps at blip.net/delete-account.
- By us. We can limit, suspend, or remove your access to Blip if you violate these terms, or if we need to protect Blip or our users.
Intellectual property
We own all rights to Blip, including trademarks and content. We grant you a limited license to use Blip for its intended purpose. Please, do not use Blip’s trademarks without permission.
Dispute resolution
Most disputes will be settled through arbitration in San Francisco, California. These terms are governed by California law.
General provisions
- Electronic communications. You agree to receive communications from us electronically.
- Assignment. You cannot transfer your rights under these terms without our permission.
- Force majeure. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our control.
- Severability. If part of these terms is invalid, the rest remain in effect.
- Entire agreement. These terms are the complete agreement between us regarding your use of Blip.
- Notice. We’ll communicate important information via email or other electronic means.
- Waiver. If we fail to enforce a provision we don’t waive of our right to do so in the future.
